Not Every Traffic Source Is Useful in Growing Your Home Business

By Joe Okoro

In building a home based business, many marketers have done practically everything to generate traffic to their websites in hope that it will give them quality website visitors that they need to take their businesses to the next level.

Although extreme anxiety may push someone to search for probable means to grow and develop a home based business, traffic approaches exist that you should not get involved with else you end up experiencing unpleasant outcome.

- Traffic Switch

The Traffic swap program is a hits membership website. Here you sign up to examine other people's websites in substitute for others to scrutinize yours.

I have tried traffic exchanges and I discovered that even when I had 10,000 hits to my website, not a single subscriber got into my newsletter. I wasted my valuable time surfing away at what does not work. However, that time was not wasted actually; I was able to learn that this method is a time waster and that it doesn't work.

- Buying E-mail Lists.

From time to time, email lists of people who have subscribed to various business prospects may be tendered to you for a price. This is time-wasting because it is challenging to translate this to receptive e-mail list.

Since the people never subscribed to your own information, mailing them is tantamount to spamming. It doesn't work.

Classified Adverts

There are classified advert sites that ask you to pay to post your ad to their websites. While I can not totally dismiss this method, it is a point to note that most classified advert do not work. You can place your advert and no one sees it for ages.

Though there are traffic contacts that make you successful if you want to take the chance. - 15431
